She comes to us having served three years at a Conservative synagogue where she officiated at Shabbat and High Holiday services as worship leader and Cantor. During that time she completed her studies for rabbinical ordination. She has been a guest rabbi and cantor in Reform and Conservative synagogues. She is an active Jewish chaplain for local hospitals, hospice, memorial services, Veterans’ and Jewish organizations. She has an extensive musical background including operatic studies as an undergraduate at Sarah Lawrence College and PhD studies in music composition from Princeton University.
She believes that “there is a contemporary expression of Judaism that is perfect for each Jew and for each congregation”. Her kindness and upbeat spirit along with her quest for understanding our heritage will serve as examples and encourage us to experience our own personal growth as well as the growth of the congregation as a whole. By listening to our needs she will serve as our guide in the spiritual journey of each of us.
